Advisory Board Review of INBP 2023 Agenda

After a comprehensive consultative exercise with Indian nuclear establishment and corporate sector, the Advisory Board review meeting of INBP-2023 was held on 8 Jun 2023. The meeting was convened for the purpose of an overall review of the conference preparedness and final launch of the conference agenda.

The theme of the 2023 edition of INBP is ‘Accelerating Nuclear Scale-up, Enabling Faster Transition’. Accordingly, the conference sessions and the agenda have been crafted in line with the business requirements of immediate relevance for the Indian nuclear industry.

The Advisory Board meeting was well represented by senior officials from government side and the corporate world. Among the key esteemed board members present in the meeting include

  • Mr PA Suresh Babu, Director (HR), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL)

  • Mr Sunil Ganju, Head- ICPD and Secretary- AEC, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE)

  • Mr AK Rajput, Member (Power System)- Central Electricity Authority (CEA), Ministry of Power

  • Mr Avinash J Gaikwad, Outstanding Scientist & Head- Emerging Regulatory Strategy Division, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB)

  • Mr N Rambabu, Executive Director (Nuclear Business), Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL)

  • Vice Admiral NM Nadaph, Nuclear Business Advisor, Walchandnangar Industries Ltd

  • Mr TT Mani, Managing Director, Avasarala Technologies Ltd

Considering the large scale-up requirement in the nuclear industry, esteemed members of the INBP-2023 Advisory board emphasized on making agenda action oriented and issue focused by incorporating the global experience of technology deployment and efficient program delivery.

To accelerate the pace of energy transition process, Indian nuclear industry is well preparing itself for meaningful global partnerships, increased private participation, decentralization, and large scale commercial deployment of SMRs and advanced large reactor projects.
